Road Trip
As a family that frequently travels abroad, the onset of COVID inflicted us with a deep sadness and longing to see the world we were forbidden to see. With the option of hopping a plane out of the question, we took our children on an old fashioned road trip, reminiscent of a simpler time. We traveled through parts of Heartland territory, where bits of old world Americana still exist. And while taking 21st century children "back in time" to early 20th century destinations was challenging, it sparked a new appreciation for this country we call home, which was sorely needed at a time when there isn't much to appreciate.
